The Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Management Council is meeting Wednesday October 5 at the Stockton Seaview Hotel, 401 S New York Rd, Galloway, NJ, to discuss and vote on two issues that are very important to us as recreational anglers. The first is the removal of all pots on the 13 NJ artificial reefs that sit in Federal waters. The second is whether to protect river herring and shad by including them as managed forage fish.
Representatives of the JCAA , NJOA and Anglers Conservation Network will attend the meetings. We urge anyone else who is available to join us. You do not have to testify.
